How to Release Muscle Pain?

Muscle pain is the most common problem that we’re facing nowadays when we are stressed. It happens when we remain in the same posture for more than 2 hours. This causes our muscles to be starved of oxygen and nutrients. Toxic waste products will be stagnated and accumulated. Gradually, our muscle could be thickening or tense up by feeling hard lumps under the skin. This condition slowly worsened and caused soreness, discomfort, aching and pain.

When we have a muscle pain, there are few easy ways to relieve the pain:

  1. Ice massage
Exposing the edge of the ice but leaving the bottom of the ice covered. Hold on to the bottom part of the cup and rub the exposed ice over the sore muscle. Always rub in the direction the muscle runs so you stretch as well as massage the muscle.
  2. Essential oils massage
The oils enhance the effects of the massage by increasing blood flow to the sore area, removing toxins and relieving pain. Essential oils can help to alleviate stress, insomnia or depression.
  3. Apply sport cream immediately after massage.
This cream is thicker than the oils you used for the massage; they also help with the ache and stay on longer.
  4. Heating pad usage
Use a heating pad for 20 minutes if the muscle pains happened more than 48-hours.
  5. Exercise
Gentle exercise or stretching such as yoga can relieve muscle soreness. Try to focus on the parts of your body that aren’t as sore.
  6. Take a warm bath.
Spend 20 minutes in a whirlpool or jetted tub. A few drops of essential oil or dead sea salt is indeed perfect.
  7. Get a good massage therapy by professionals
An effective massage therapy encourages blood flow to the affected muscles, which can bring increased oxygen and nutrients. All this activity reduces swelling and stiffness and increases flexibility to help eliminate pain.
